CNN reports that US Secretary of State Rice hopeful of cease-fire ‘this week’: “As I head back to Washington, I take with me an emerging consensus on what is necessary for both a cease-fire and a lasting settlement,” Rice said. “I am convinced we can achieve both this week.”

The top group and the bottom group are involved in this disaster, with the middle group getting messed over in the process. To get a consensus the top group should be talking to the bottom group, but Lebanon is the only one the top group wants to talk to, and it has told the top group to stuff it after Qana.

Yeah, a real consensus.
