This is payback time, BIG time.
For years, my Virginian friends & family ragged me about Jesse Helms even though they knew I never voted for him and never would.
Oh, the fun at the next family gathering….
Jesse was at least home-grown, Felix is from California and his Momma is French Tunisian. The man rides Western and wears cowboy boots.
I find it *amusing* that his “claim” is that he wasn’t sure it was a WORD?!? But it’s also his follow up remarks – The “Welcome to Virginia”…as though this man was not an American or a Virginian which was equally offensive. But he’ll get the *Circle the Wagons – RALLY Round The Flag” Support from the usual GOPhucker suspects and pundits – no doubts on that.
As a sitting senator I can’t believe that he didn’t get a security check on someone who was following him around. That check, probably by the Virginia state police agency, would have told him that the guy was a native Virginian.
