Tropical Storm Ernesto

As of 4:00PM CDT the Gulf Coast has a concern called Tropical Storm Ernesto.

Currently it is north of Venezuela, but the current track has it passing just south of Cuba and entering the Gulf of Mexico as a hurricane.

Bryan, I don’t know if you believe the predictions shown in the five-day cones on the NHC site… I take them with a grain of salt… but if you do, as of Saturday afternoon, it looks as if you may get some wind and water from Ernesto, possibly Friday afternoon. I know you prepare thoroughly, but if it comes your way, please hang on and stay safe.

(Yes, my stocks are in place and the car is full of gas; I don’t tape windows and secure outdoor objects until a storm gets a little closer. Stella’s patio contents are always the biggest challenge.)

Currently it’s looking more like my problem than yours. I’ll be buying gas tomorrow for the generator and the car. The rest will wait on the later tracking, but the price and availability of fuel is always a problem for us whenever anything wanders into the Gulf.
