Litmus Test

There should be a requirement that before being eligible for any Federal appointment the applicant must show proof that they have successfully managed a nationally franchised fast-food restaurant for three consecutive months, and the owners are still willing to hire them as managers.

No exceptions should be granted, as being the CEO of a succession of failed corporations is not the same as being the manager of one successful business.

This requirement must be met before any specialized requirements for education and other training or experience are even looked at.

Oh, man, you’re asking a lot, aren’t you? I’d be surprised if they knew how to count change for a dollar.

They obvious don’t understand how to hire and fire, or create a schedule, so trusting them to count a cash drawer would be expecting too much.

Most of these characters wouldn’t qualify to start at the managerial level. They need a good year or so of mopping floors, flipping burgers, and asking “to eat here or take out?” Another year or so as assistant manager, then finally the big promotion.

Oh – and they have to survive on that salary alone during that time.

These people aren’t qualified to be workers, much less supervisors. They have been gaming the system all their lives, being handed jobs, not working for them. They don’t actually understand how anything really works, or how to make anything.

The government is welfare for for the well-off, look how many children of their friends have been given jobs that they are not remotely qualified to handle.
