A Quick Trip To Nowhere

From Joel Roberts at The Skinny a brief piece, Karl Rove Under The Microscope, about the Office of Special Counsel looking in to the firing of the US Attorneys.

Sorry, but the cap will be on the eyepiece of the microscope. CREW has their opinion of the head of OSC, Scott Bloch, and his record of nonfeasance when it involves protecting government employees, the reason for the existence of the office.

Instead of using Regents University grads to fill all the positions, OSC gets its people from the Ave Maria School of Law, which achieved full accreditation in 2005.

Can you say “stalling to run out the clock”? I thought you could. Will the White House say, “can’t comment on current investigations”? Of course they will.

An investigation by an inside the white house unit…. by a presidential appointee… hmm… I could be wrong but when one tries to look at one’s on butt by turning one’s head and looking down, one really can’t get a good look…

That’s what’s going on, CD, more theater for the masses. Must let the investigation take its course. Can’t testify before Congress while the investigation is going on.

Somehow I don’t think Congress is going to buy it.

How long do you think Karl Rove has had this CYA in his back pocket? Just like the RNC emails he knows how to dodge responsibility for everything. He is one smooth operator.

I’m fairly certain this referral was a back-up plan, and the reason Bloch was appointed. The OSC handles Federal whistle-blower protection enforcement, and there hasn’t been any protection since he took over. While most of the controversy has been about his decision not to protect gays, he hasn’t protected anyone.

Rove is evil, very evil, but smart, very smart…

We may find out how smart before the clock runs out. If I was a Repub, I would want him gone before the elections start to heat up.

I need sleep & recovery from yet another severed artery from wrangling feral cats today, but I do want to look into the clusterfuck known as Bloch, as Jesus’ General has a really good post up about him today, as well. You guys should get your material together and start a blogtopia investigatory panel, fuck waiting on congress, you & JG could bust some heads!

It looks like all you need to be hired by the Federal government is a law degree from a newly accredited religion-based law school. It’s affirmative action for white Christians.
