Was the sock warm? Was it straight from the laundry, or did it have a pleasant (to cats) Bryan-aroma about it? Be grateful for the attention, Bryan: Gnome Man is an island entire of itself…

Friday Ark #142…

We’ll post links to sites that have Friday (plus or minus a few days) photos of their chosen animals (photoshops at our discretion and humans only in supporting roles). Watch the Exception category for rocks, beer, coffee cups, and….? Visit all the …

That explains a lot Bryan. We also have a slipper thief. Bebe, seems to think teh Not-wife’s slippers are kittens. She is forever carrying them off and hiding them in little nooks and crannies.

I’ll bet that sock smells really good!

That sock was swiped out of drawer by the Gnome or one of her co-conspirators and hauled under the futon which is normally covered by a comforter, therefore hidden.

They don’t do the vacuum any good when they get sucked up into the hose.

She not big enough to make off with slippers yet, but she’s destined for a life of crime.

Yet another cat with a foot fetish.

Those ears would do a Chihuahua proud.

Actually she has little “spikes” of fur on the tips of her ears, almost like horns.

lynx kitten! what an adorable picture.

curmudgeon cat and the dog are the sock fetishists at chez hipparchia. they prefer the used socks, which means that they inadvertently end up helping me sort the laundry. unfortunately, this being florida, i wear flipflops a lot, so socks are only a rare treat.

the new crew? they have become catnip-toy-fetishists. it wasn’t yummy food that finally lured them into the house, it was catnip toys.

not that we’re conventionalists on that front either. the dog much prefers catnip toys, while curmudgeon cat eschews them in favor of attacking the dog frisbee. the dog’s opinion of frisbees is that the one who throws them ought to be the one who retrieves them.

My first cat here, Koshka [the door walker], played fetch. My Mother’s poodle would look at it and then look back at you wondering why you threw it.

This is Property’s last weekend at my place. She’s on her way to a new adventure with a big brother named Chris, and a new human. Her human is hoping she’ll be a lot friendlier than Chris, who just sort of does his own thing.

Oh so that’s where my sock went?

Cute pic.

Sending Billy goat love from another Ark inhabitant…Screech the goat !

Their ears are big like that so they can hear you rattling the kibble box from no matter where they happen to be.

It’s a Korat feature, she inherited from her mom, Jill.

I hold goats in high esteem, Screech, as they are the only known control for kudzu.

They don’t bother, as their mom has a bad habit of clawing and chewing a hole in the bag when she’s feeling peckish, Аня.

Aha! The washer didn’t eat the sock, after all! Now, that’s a happy cat. It has it’s sock and gets to nap, too.

She also has a mouse that has to go with her, because her brothers aren’t allowed to touch it. She will definitely be a curtain climber, no matter how relaxed she looks in the picture, OWL.
