The greys are really difficult to seen at dawn and dusk. The blacks are much easier to spot.

When you see photos like that you can see how a grey/white colouration helps hide them!

You can’t see them, even with color vision until you get within a couple of feet. They happened to be shielded by a recycling bin that I needed to take to the road for pick-up, or I wouldn’t have noticed. Actually the kitten moved or it would have been hard to see in a picture curled up against mom.

Remember Jill – KT is short for Kitten of Terror. She is not a nice cat.

That pic definitely evokes an “awwwwww…”

Those markings are fairly effective camouflage in that light.
