Very funny! (but I can’t just say “very funny” I have to make my comment longer…so…)

…we have a large black and white tomcat (named “Tom”, natch) who frequently sleeps in this odd position…on the bed, on the floor, on Mrs. Jack K. when she’s taking a nap in the recliner. Strange stuff…

“Varoooom? Varoooom?” Isn’t that the beginning of a Brahms motet? (YouTube of a really mediocre performance; you’ll hear it and ask yourself “Warum?” But it’s not an easy work to sing.)

Cats do assume the most amazing positions, not in extreme circumstances but simply as a matter of course… napping while draped forward over the edge of the ottoman is one of Samantha’s favorite gravity-defying acts.

Aerodynamic sleeping has to be cat specific.

Toms are totally insane, Jack. I’m sure I’ve posted pictures of Sox on the floor with his rear legs and front legs 180° apart, but the ladies tend to be conventional and limited to the circle, or the “rabbit”, upright position, while toms just flop.

What struck me is that this is her signature position. She is the only cat who has ever done it, and she does it a lot.

Ringo is a good one for “cliff hanging”, Steve, and she slips off, especially from the big table which is a smooth artificial surface and no grip of any kind.

The KTs are in the smaller group, so they never look fully adult. The stay at what would be the juvenile size for most cats, so they are cute.

They are just weird, even for this place.

It would be really cool if you could photoshop a nice sky underneath her. What a picture! And what a cute kitty!

My graphics skills are seriously lacking, OWL. I would have to her decide to do it on a solid, single color background to even attempt it, and she is feral.

Ahhhh… Ya gotta love kitties! And of course, they have no shame whatsoever and couldn’t care less what we mere humans think of them. Unlike dogs… a dog can be a royal PITA trying to curry as much favor as possible! We have a Jack Russell, and she is completely neurotic and more needy than a young Hollywood starlet hopeful wannabee on her old sugar daddy!

Much rather have a cat!

Oh well…

OT: Bryan, could you try registering at test02 with your normal email addy when you get a chance, please. 🙂 TY! 😉 😀

If you would prefer full-blown psychotic, rather than neurotic, get a purebred male miniature poodle. I do admit my Mother’s dog never bit anyone … who wasn’t a member of the family or close family friend.

OT: Bryan02 was such an attempt at 19:40 UTC.

The photoshop job is pretty simple, Bryan. First, find a picture of a sky. Then take your photo of KT3. Use the freehand select tool to zoom in on her outline and select her exact outline. Copy. Paste as new picture. Go into the resulting picture and erase to transparency stray pixels from the old background that got sucked in with the selection (sigh!). Select all. Copy. Paste into the sky picture. Move your pasted selection to center it. Voila :).

Of course, it’s a royal PITA to do that, so I don’t blame you for not doing it in the least :).

I’ve attempted it before, Badtux, and it’s a lot of work and time for a mediocre result.

I have an ancient graphics program that I don’t even bother to upgrade because my graphics skills are so pathetic. The headers are the best I am capable of, but they only work as well as as they do because of a lot of choices made when selecting the elements.

The worst part is that I tell the difference, I just can’t produce it.
