I have a >10 links check for moderation, I have no idea what the spamchecker plugin does, although it sounds like it checks mostly for humanity, as in an actual person with a real IP address that is reasonable.

The van is as close as any of the locals have come to fluffy in years.

The KTs are the only real problem in sorting through the group, with size rapidly losing its relevance. The difference in nose blazes IDs 3, but 2 and 4 are very similar, and I almost never really get a good look at the one or more blue and whites that stay under the house. They only appear for the evening food, and don’t stay if they notice me.

the fluffy/shiny dichotomy sort of breaks down for curmudgeon cat, momcat, and the grayscale litter, with the only shiny-coated one being the fluffy black-and-white and the remaining ones being sort of matte, whatever the coat length, so i generally check to make sure i've got 3 blues [one long tail, one short tail, one fluffy] and 3 'colors' [the b&w plus one gray tiger and one yellow tiger].

among the all-black litter are 2 fluffies and 4 shinies, with the fluffies being about as fluffy as somalis or turkish vans. nowhere near the coat of maine coons, or norwegian forest cats, or siberians, or persians, thank goodness.

i've metally divided momcat's offspring into 'fluffies' and 'shinies', mostly for purposes of counting noses at bedtime [don't want to have go through another christopher houdini scare].

Another Blue/Gray kitty!!! Grey Feather thinks they’re the best type of kitty to post pictures of. Wouldn’t that be a bummer, to wake up and find your friends all left without telling you? What type of friends are those? Oh, yeah… cat friends:)

The local “blues” are Korat, rather than Russian Blue based, which makes them less elegant, as Korats tend to be chunky. They also tend to be single-coated, which makes the cold a problem, as they don’t have a winter coat to help them out.

The local ferals have lost the long-haired line that was common a few years ago, but that may come back if they decided they can afford to “adopt” one of the increasing strays caused by the economy.

Coby is getting on, but it will make him look more distinguished, LK.

Maine Coons are great. Gayle, but they suffer during our summer. The most senior of all the ferals is Molly, who has a lot of Maine Coon genes. She has to be 15 and she still has attitude.

Whatever else he may be, he is above all, gorgeous! Of course to me, the most bedraggled pathetic looking feline is gorgeous but in this case – there is no doubt! I have a Maine Coon named Samuel Herbert Miller II (Sam) who is the love of my life, but Russian blues have always been fascinating to me.

I always like how the fur on blues continually changes hue… grey, blue, even black. Our Russian Blue is that way, altho in his older age, white has started to creep in.

Beautiful cat, even tho no scritches allowed.
