		<description>We got smacked by Kate in 1985 even later, but the Gulf has cooled off from a string of cold fronts and they are predicting a trough building across the northern Gulf that will take it east, if it doesn&#039;t just absorb it.

All of the tracking is weird, but if it comes, it won&#039;t be much more than tropical storm strength.  This is why &lt;i&gt;El Ni&#241;o&lt;/i&gt; is our friend.

The spread seems to be New Orleans to Panama City, with my little town the current target.</description>
