Definitely Not Terrorism

CNN reports that Medical marijuana stores firebombed in Montana.

Actual Molotov cocktails were used and set two stores on fire with the message “Not in our town” spray painted on the wall, but this isn’t terrorism. No, this is a state arson case, although ATF has been contacted for technical assistance.

I guess the Attorney General only gets involved in failed arsons, not real ones. 😈

I wonder if the perp’s stood downwind…

Our great nation seems to have many people willing to serve as a law unto themselves. And it’s a good thing, too: otherwise, on the books, there are nowhere nearly enough drug laws.

Support the War on Some Drugs: torch someone’s stash today!

Steve, I thought torching the stash was the whole point of having the stash? ;).

Bryan: It’s only terrorism when it’s done by unseemly brown people. If it’s done by white people, it’s… well, something else, duh.

Well, Steve, only 62% of the voters approved the medical marijuana law, so someone has to stand up for the “oppressed minority”. Apparently the “free market” can’t deal with too many stores selling the product, so drastic measures just had to be taken.

Badtux, it is really annoying the way the Republicans are trying to turn “Jim Crow” into “Sam the Eagle”.

And on another subject, Balloon Juice has now informed me about the second coming of Crist. It looks like Crist is far more popular amongst Dems and independents than people thought he’d be, enough so that he’s polling better than Rubio, and *far* better than the hapless Meek, about whom one of the commentators said, “Meek appears to think his campaign style should match his name”. Can’t say I’d prefer another Republican in office, but at least Crist is just a typical corrupt Republican, not an absolute deranged lunatic… one must go with the achievable, I suppose. Siiiigh!

If have to take Florida polls with a pound of salt as we tend to lie on them, a lot.

Kendrick just can’t get any coverage, although his people are working like crazy. The media is more interested in the Republican “drama” than anything a Democrat might do [that doesn’t involve sex. sex trumps everything in Florida politics]. Charlie is liked by the media. He’s a personality. Rubio is mental, so is worth writing about. Kendrick Meek is boring. He would do a good job as a Senator, but he will never be “Mr. Excitement”.

The media is more interested in the Republican “drama” than anything a Democrat might do

which is exacerbated by the fact that the florida democratic party seems to be far more interested in talking about the republican ‘drama’ than in helping to get out the word about any of their own candidates.

“Attack” ads rule in Florida. Candidates spend most of their money talking about their opponents.
