A Message From The Management

On Thursday I had open surgery to repair an inguinal hernia. This represents the first time I have had surgery of any kind and it definitely wasn’t a lot of fun. I may post a picture of CC later today, but you should expect very low output and possibly very odd sentence structure as a result of the pain medication.

Yikes! Stop unraveling and repair quickly! Sending you good thoughts and looking forward to weird posts. 😛

Definitely get well soon! Def. agree on surgery *not* being fun, and I was 19 at the time so if it wasn’t fun then, it certainly would not be fun now!

So sorry you’re having to go through this, Bryan. Just take care of yourself. OTOH, odd sentence structure can be a lot of fun!

All the best, and just take it easy m8. 🙂

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Bryan. As I discovered, there IS life after surgery, and having reached that stage, you’ve made a good start. Hang in there.

(PS a hospital will do any damned thing to take your money… keep a close watch to be sure they don’t, e.g., charge you for your own prescription med’s that you brought in with you. Yes, that’s a real-life story from personal experience. Slap their effin’ wrists if they try that trick.)

I have been unbelievably lucky given the sort of things I have been involved with over the years, so I’m not going to complain. I will not bother you with a picture of the slice [5-inches long] that I sent to my brother. It looks good for day 4 and I have finally figured out how to schedule the pain meds so I can trust myself to drive now.

Actually, Steve, I’m more concerned with the potential for flooding in Houston. Wear your life jacket.

I really appreciate your kind thoughts. My surgeon didn’t want me to hanging around the hospital as he was worried about my picking up an infection. I will be around, even if I don’t do much writing.
