Orlando Holding Its Breath

NPR has a piece that covers the atmosphere in Mouse Town: Orlando’s Tourism Industry Hopes To Overcome A Nightmarish Week

This is the beginning of ‘the season’ when the majority of the tourist businesses make their big money and their workers can pay off their credit cards. The only thing left is for PETA to put out a video showing what they claim are SeaWorld employees throwing live kittens and puppies into the shark tank.

There are reports that the Westboro Baptist Church is going to picket the funerals. Now that would be a real shame … if they fell into the shark tank…

I think Orlando could survive PETA putting out a video showing SeaWorld employees throwing live kittens and puppies into the shark tank. I doubt they could survive PETA putting out a video showing Disney World employees throwing live kittens and puppies to alligators in that pond where the kid got turned into an alligator snack.

There probably are videos of tourists feeding the alligators.

I don’t think people in the Orlando comunity would tolerate Westboro miscreants. Orlando has had more than their share of fecal matter hitting the fan this month.

Poor sharks — can we get them some Pepto-Bismal?

Best

Shirt, Westboro makes their living by suing the people who attack them at their gatherings and the cities that didn’t adequately protect them. They’re literally trolling for lawsuits. I have no idea whether they actually believe the BS that spews from their mouths (and signs), but it’s proven to be a sustainable business model for them 🙁 .

Bryan, doesn’t allowing a toddler to wade in any watercourse in Florida qualify as “tourists feeding the alligators”?

The Mouse is wondering if they should have mentioned alligators on their signs … Wow, ya think? Every fresh water pond in the state of any size can have gators, including water hazards on golf courses. Allowing kids in the water or walking small dogs around the ponds rings the dinner bell.

Some states have a law against “disrupting a religious service”, and I would think that a resourceful officer could come up with a charge, but most jurisdictions prefer to ignore Westboro as much as possible for the reason Badtux stated. Some of the sharks have reached protected status, so “falling” into the tank is probably a Federal offense if you get eaten… [a resourceful officer could certainly suggest that].

I *like* that one! 🙂

Of course, it’s only meaningful if the WBC member gets half eaten.

The sharks may avoid them as a “professional courtesy”, the same as personal injury lawyers… 😉

Umm, speaking of lawyers, and Florida…

“A class action suit will be filed early next week, according to a civil litigation firm out of Miami, Florida called Beck & Lee Trial Lawyers. The lawsuit is alleging fraud and collusion with Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign.”

BREAKING: DNC To Be Hit With GIANT Lawsuit Over Fraud & Collusion

It seems it is quite serious and is gaining support (from their Facebook post):

Thank you, everyone, for your tremendous support, interest and response. We plan on giving regular, public updates on the entire litigation process. Right now, the attorneys are preparing a draft of the Complaint, and we are organizing all the data that is pouring in from folks who contacted us at dncfraud@jampac.us

We are truly touched by the outpouring of support. The messages we have gotten speak of the great sacrifice that Americans have made in donating their money and participating in what they believed was a fair and free primary election process run by the DNC.

If you have donated directly to the Democratic National Committee (DNC), we would like to speak with you! Please contact us at dncfraud@jampac.us

Once the lawsuit is filed, we plan to have all filed documents available for public perusal.
A class action is a public lawsuit, on the public’s behalf, so we welcome your comments on the process as it is going forward. Everyone who is a member of the “Class” has a stake in the lawsuit!

Thank you. More updates to come.

–Elizabeth Lee Beck, Esq.

This law firm is in real estate law, and is unlikely to have much expertise in the laws regarding Federal election law. If you are a Miami real estate attorney there is a better than even chance that your clients are Republicans.

Smoke and mirrors.
