The Leave Campaign Has A Surprise Coming

A Canadian analyst notes that Untangling who belongs where after Brexit won’t be a breeze, Boris.

Boris Johnson keeps telling people that brexit means that Britain gets all of the benefits of being in the EU, but doesn’t have to follow EU rules & regulations and doesn’t have pay membership fees. That is not the way it works. The EU is in no mood to play nice and has already said it won’t negotiate anything until the process formally begins.

Funny thing… Not long after the EU began, I had the option of dual citizenship with either an EU or UK passport. I elected to get a UK passport because I would require more visa’s to travel around Europe on an EU passport than on a UK passport (no, I’m not kidding!) Also, I’d be eligible for the UK NHS (National Health Service) and even a UK Pension (if I decided to live/work there). As far as I could see, there was little to no advantage to an EU passport.

Glad now that I decided on a UK passport! 😀

This is FUBAR. No one thought this through. The EU just made it clear that there won’t be a single market without freedom of movement, and Brexit was about stopping freedom of movement. Once again people forgot to engage their brains before casting their ballots.

And this surprises you? *shrug* Wait until you see the results of our election soon. And then yours.

You know most humans have the survival instincts of lemmings, and are capable of less rational thought than a dog. There are exceptions to *the rule* of course, but nowhere near enough to make a difference. I think it’s evolutionary payback. Mom Nature is not amused! 😉

The consensus would seem to be that more people than expected decided to cast “protest votes” against Cameron and austerity rather than against the EU, because it was the only vote scheduled, not because they really had anything against the EU. It is highly unlikely that many of the voters really knew what the EU really was or what it did. People are not happy and government isn’t fixing anything, so throw the bums out. I’m still trying to figure out what Corbyn did to deserve all of the grief.

Brexit-fall. LOL.

Yes, Boris is pretty much fscked right now. He’d never planned on winning. Now that he’s won, now what? LOL.

And the hits keep coming: Boris drops out of the PM race after key allies defect. And he’s probably breathing a sigh of relief right now, LOL.

Trump-Lite didn’t reallybelieve that there were enough people in Britain who would believe his bullshit, but he believed that his “friends” would actually back him as a leader. Labour is screwed up, but not as bad as the Tories.

It will probably be the Greens or the Pirates who form the next English Parliament, after Scotland leaves.
