Another sad chapter in the race for Space! But they were very brave men who knew the risks and did it anyway. 🙂 We could use guy’s like this today.

Being a petulant back-stabber offers more avenues for advancement than taking risks, especially risks for yourself.

And being born on third base (and thinking you hit a triple) offers even more avenues for advancement. Heck, if you’re born rich enough, you can even become President! (With a little help from your friends, of course, both domestic and foreign).

His parents sent him to a military school because he was such a schmuck. Hell, even the Shrubbery got in to Phillips Academy to take off some of the edges and teach the young 1% how to get a ‘gentleman’s C’. That high school was as close as he came to military service [cue up CCR]
