Trump: US will act unilaterally on North Korea if necessary

Washington (CNN) President Donald Trump has declared he would be willing to go it alone to restrain North Korea’s nuclear weapons program should China fail to change the situation, saying if Beijing won’t help solve it, then “we will” alone.

“China will either decide to help us with North Korea or they won’t,” Trump said in an interview published Sunday in the Financial Times. “If they do, that will be very good for China, and if they don’t, it won’t be good for anyone.”

The last US President who decided to ‘go it alone’ with North Korea was the Shrubbery and that decision resulted in North Korea building nuclear weapons.

The meeting with Chinese President Xi should be peachy – it will take place at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort. President Xi has closed scores of gulf clubs in China, believing the game to be a sign of corruption. More fabulous White House staff work 😈

The ABC asks: Why is Gibraltar caught in the middle of the Brexit debate?

The issue has been exacerbated somewhat by a former leader of Ms May’s Conservative party, who drew a link between the situation in Gibraltar and the Falklands War.

“Thirty-five years ago this week another woman prime minister sent a taskforce halfway across the world to defend the freedom of another small group of British people against another Spanish speaking country,” Michael Howard told Sky News’s Sophie Ridge.

“I’m absolutely certain that our current Prime Minister will show the same resolve in standing by the people of Gibraltar.”

Spoken by someone who is certain he isn’t go to be asked to lead the assault on Spanish positions, and without consulting the inhabitants of Gibraltar.

April Fools Day

Atrius again located the best prank ever

The BBC featured 10 stories that look like pranks but aren’t.

And I wasted too much time playing Ms Pac-Man on the local streets thanks to Google maps. [Apparently available until April 4]
