So Trump had another Twitter seizure over the weekend and proceeded to display his limited understanding of anything involved in the problem. For example, he doesn’t seem to be aware that DACA only applies to those who entered the US before the age of 16 and have lived in the US continuously since 2007. No one who entered the US after 2007 is eligible for the program.
Given that Trump and his minions think almost everything is “fake news” I would go to a source they can’t dispute. Since the Trumpers claim that the US is a Christian nation I’ll cite the Bible on foreigners. These citations from the King James Version of the Bible are timely as we are still in the week of Passover, which is the starting point of these laws.
Exodus 22:21
21 Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
Leviticus 19:33-34
33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.
34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
Leviticus 24:22
22 Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the Lord your God.
Matthew 25:35-36
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
The verses from Matthew are part of the ‘entrance exam’ for Heaven.

Convincing a non-Christian to do Christian things is pretty easy. The hard part is convincing a Christian to do Christian things.

I bought a bunch of old fave TV shows and Movie DVD’s/Blu-ray’s via some big sales from eBay and Amazon the past few Months. Very busy ripping/converting them all to video files to remove the useless ad’s and warning crap. Was a major reason I built this system after all. Rips/converts DVD’s quite fast. Some of those I bought have already been converted to 720p and a few @ 1080p (my preference). I found the high-compression HEVC MKI format to be surprisingly good considering how small it makes the files (avg 1080p TV episode is 200-300 MB, Movie about 1-1.5 GB). Will save a ton of space on my NAS! I only have 2 TB free from 17 TB! 😆
Just doing “Gomer Pyle USMC”! 😆 Next will be “The Invaders” and “Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons” (the original Gerry & Sylvia Anderson marionette series, not the 2005 CGI remake). Also have a bunch of 70’s, 80’s and 90’s movies to rip/convert. So I’ll be pretty busy for some time.
Yep! I am willfully regressing! Had enough of this *New World*! It seriously SUX! Even most TV shows are absolute garbage (Lucifer, Dr. Who, The Librarians, Madam Secretary, NCIS New Orleans & a couple others being exceptions.) I still enjoy some well made fantasies! 😉
BTW, if anyone is interested in the old *Classic TV* series, most are available to watch or download (via torrent) from Archive-org & many other multimedia(TV, film, music etc.)
Just be aware that many of the video torrents include 2 or 3 formats (AVI, MP4, OGV), so you’ll have to go through & select the format you want, or the d/l will be large. Same for Audio etc.

Everyone needs some me time to recharge, especially with clowns like Trump and Turnbull trying to run things. You’re diving into old media and I’m trying to diagram Cambridge Analytica. You are having more fun than I am. The Lion, Eagle, Beaver, and Bear isn’t terribly exciting nor as intense as le Carre. Even with a pink-haired whistle blower with a nose ring, it is more about corruption than craft.

Apparently it is their own fault for not being “Norwegians”. The Customs & Border Patrol agents apparently don’t approve of “non-Aryan untermenschen” staying the “Vaterland” and don’t care that they are sending them to prison at a minimum and death as a real possibility. We have a treaty, but the Schmuck in Chief doesn’t think laws and treaties apply to him.
