Follow The Money

This is personal opinion based on experience in the intelligence community, law enforcement, and business.

Trump has had a half dozen bankruptcies and regular banks and financial institutions won’t go near him, much less loan him money. Putin holds all of Trump’s paper [IOUs, notes, mortgages, etc.] and can foreclose on him at any time. Trump won’t show his tax returns because he doesn’t want people to know he’s broke.

Trump hasn’t been a real “player” for years. He has been making his money leasing his brand, not creating or building anything. He is a loser and doesn’t want people to figure that out.

You figured it out. So did the Putin mob. People all over the Midwest are figuring it out. With each penny drop in the price of Soya beans the MAGA-heads realization sinks in: We’ve been conned.

What worries me is another October surprise. A blue wave will effectively emasculate the Putin Presidency. The Putin Mob knows that even if the Odious Idiot doesn’t. So what’s their counter(s)?

The Russians have been active already on social media, and are being caught because people now know what to look for. The profiles have been established.

Trump moved too soon on the tariffs which are going to effect the economy at exactly the wrong time for Republican election choices. As you noted, the farmers are starting to feel the pain and it is going to get worse.

I’m just getting back online & trying to catch up. I found a nice online app called “Thread Reader” that takes the long, difficult to read Twitter threads & makes them easier to follow.

I found this thread started by @USseriously in 2017 that runs for some time about Torshin & Bettina (& eventually, Steven Segal… And we know he’s a crooked slimeball).

No account needed BTW.

I know some Trump voters who will not believe anything against Trump. They do the same thing he does – turn the conversation to Hillary. I don’t understand why they think he and his administration are so wonderful? He and Sarah Huckabee Sanders really know how to push the “fake news” button! I’ve always believed that the Russian money is why he refuses to release his taxes. What I don’t understand is why ALL the GOP folks are complicit in allowing this to go on and on!?!?

OWL, the recent revelations that the NRA was compromised by Russian money and a Russian honeypot spy may have something to do with why the GOP folks aren’t jumping on Trump for his Russian connections. It turns out that just about *all* of them have taken Russian money. Trump’s IRS had to swiftly make it so the NRA doesn’t have to report their donors in order to cover up the Russian conspiracy.

On a bang for the buck measure, Russian compromat of the American political system has cost *far* less than a new weapons system would have cost… but of course, this is an old scheme for them. This is, after all, how Poland went from being a superpower in 1700 to being a Russian province in 1800 — Russia compromised their democracy until the state failed, then swooped in with her allies to divide up the carcass. Putin is nothing if not a student of history.

Everyone expects the KGB to support socialists, but going back to the Cold War era it spent more money on rightwing whackoes throughout the world. The concept is to create opportunities by destabilizing other countries. They supported socialists in dictatorships, and fascists in democracies. Chaos is their goal. This is textbook and obvious to anyone who has ever studied their methods.

You have to be dumber than a brick to believe that the Russian government was going to support the private ownership of firearms. The NRA was in it for the money. They are lobbyists for arms manufacturers, and will accept money from anyone to promote arms sales.

I missed this! 🙁

Yep! Agree 100% Bryan. I can hear my old Soviet *friends* from the 80’s laughing with a great deal of mirth (and not just a little Vodka!) And we know (well, I do & suspect you do also) this isn’t their first try with the USA! We’ve discussed USSR/Russia quite a bit over the past decade (time does fly!)

8 Kryten42 { 08.07.18 at 12:35 pm }

Oh! Have you seen this? I am PMSL! Talk about a red flag to a bull (Mueller) & stabbing your friend in the back. Russians are master’s at this. And der Don has NO idea just how screwed he is! What a moron.

If US regulators would just start regulating, we wouldn’t have all of these problems. Trump has been in trouble for years and the people who should have been watching ignored the signs of someone who was bankrupt throwing cash around. The regulators should have been asking where the money came from. He was an easy capture by the Russians who added great value when he entered politics. He has probably been the biggest money launderer the oligarchs have ever used, because urban real estate is the “Maytag” of money laundries.

Trump’s EPA has been giving the “Trump Seal of Approval” to anything and everything industry wants to use or mine, no matter how toxic.

Actual, real Regulation would be a great thing! Here as well as the USA.

11-year-old hacks replica of Florida state website, changes election results

I’m not sure whether to laugh or… Yeah, I’m laughing! 🤣🤣🤣 And then… 🤦🏾‍♂️🙄☹️

It took 10 minutes! They have USB ports on the electronic voting machines! Stick in a wireless keyboard/mouse transceiver and sit outside changing votes.

She changed the site that reports the results. You can see the HTML and it’s obvious that it can be hacked. DEF CON was just being nasty making it the hack for the kids. [TBH, some of those ‘kids’ have major skills.]

The lady who ran elections in our county looked at the electronic systems and decided that paper was a better idea because it was easier to deal with and everyone was using the same ballot. She used computers and didn’t trust them as elections occur during hurricane season and you have no guarantee of electricity.

The lady who ran elections in your county sounds like a very wise lady. Too many people think technology is the solution to all problems. Sometimes it is, other times… not so much.

8 of those minutes were for figuring out how to stick something into the usb port without being seen by the adults in the room 😈

our county uses paper ballots too (and no they are NOT butterfly ballots).

14 Bryan { 08.14.18 at 9:41 pm }

It was like the early days of micros, Badtux, everyone assumed they needed to have one, but didn’t know why. They would get upset when you told them that they were better off without one at their business, but there were some good programs for their kids.

Remember the machines are in enclosures designed to prevent others from seeing what you are doing, Hipparchia.

I experienced butterfly ballots in San Diego. They were a real PITA, but the lady who operated my polling place made good cookies.

OT: Sorry about your forced relocation, Badtux. In Florida you could have gotten as little as 14 days notice.

15 Badtux { 08.15.18 at 9:18 am }

It doesn’t matter what Trump does, though. His supporters will support him up until the day he suddenly turns into a black man. Especially if the tape of him saying the N-word comes out.

Bryan, there are many reasons I don’t live in Florida. The one you list is one of them.

16 Bryan { 08.15.18 at 10:24 am }

You’re right, there is nothing he could do that would change the mind of the “true believers”. He echoes their delusions and reinforces their prejudices, so he must be telling the truth and the media is lying about him.
