Before Jesus there was Moses, before Moses there was Abraham, and Abraham came out of Iraq. Much that is the basis of “Western Civilization” is rooted in Iraq.

We used the site of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon as a helicopter pad and parking lot. We filled sand bags with artifacts of one of the most important sites in our history.

These people don’t understand the structure of the Iranian government and how limited the power of the President of Iran really is.

Attacking Iran without a “smoking gun” will be a crime against civilization. These people are a horde more destructive than anything ever seen before.

Use of the most devastating weapons in America’s arsenal in a pre-emptive strike without consulting Congress… not merely informing them, but seeking their declaration of war, as the Constitution requires… surely must be an impeachable offense. Of course, by then, it will be too late; if Bush would do that, there’s nothing he wouldn’t do.

Thanks for the link to Natasha’s excellent post. Reading it made me sad beyond words at the prospect of what my country may do.

I want impeachment to be brought immediately on that news. Impeaching him and shipping him to the International Criminal Court would be the only possible action that might save the country.

I expect to wake up any morning now to hear we – no, THEY – have initiated some sort of Shock and Awe. I expect the first strike in the middle of the night this time – sort of like a recess appointment.
