Miller has to run for election and a loss of a billion dollars in the district won’t go down very well. The disastrous effect on the housing market will magnify the problem of the ARMs and Interest-Only mortgage interest rates being adjusted.

Those test ranges have been keeping oil rigs away from our coast for a very long time, and the deal that Miller just voted for would have impacted the ranges.

Oil drilling is probably as good as any. You’d think they’d need to give an excuse to risk that many jobs and that much money. At any rate, I’m glad to see Jeff Miller isn’t in lock-step with Rummy, for a change.
