I flew out of RAF Upper Heyford back in the 1960s, but in a RC-135, nothing as posh as a SR71.

There were a lot of interesting things going on at Mildenhall in my days, and probably still are, even after the end of the Cold War.

The major memory my Dad had of Italy was the mud. You never got dry. He didn’t talk about the missions.
