Oh, yes, every school in the state has a plate, and every pro sports team.

It’s very easy to get a special interest plate in Virginia. You wouldn’t believe how many out of commonwealth colleges have license plates in Virginia. Florida State and University of Florida have license plates in Virginia. I’ve seen Penn State as well.

I don’t understand what the plate is supposed to symbolize. What is the point of the sun over water. I’ll give them the possibility that the four constitute one or more families making the pairing suspicious for “family values”. The adults don’t seem to be interested in each other.

Buzz words and memes, that’s all they have.

And Ellroon is right; the artwork is straight out of Pleasantville, although nowadays a man with his hand on a boy’s shoulder could be construed as Capt. Oever in Airplane! saying, “Joey, have you ever been to a Turkish prison?”

I’ve never seen one of these on a car in South Florida. Does that mean we don’t have family values?

I can’t imagine how that happens, but this isn’t the first time I’ve noticed it. It’s almost like editorial comment by the daemons on the “Internets”.

The people who push this through the legislature are “Ted Haggard Christianists”.

Oh, this was due up last week, but I wouldn’t put it up before an election.

Shows they have no problems that beset other less fortunate people.

They obviously need to declare it loudly on a effing plate for their SUV rather than take the energy just LIVE the values. Such a declaration implies that others do not have such values, clearly do not love their children, and have no desire to give them education and guidelines to live fruitful and satisfying lives. Non-family values plate owners probably don’t even feed their children.

Soon we will have plates that say ‘Breathing’ to show that driver knows how to inhale. Sheesh!

(The art in the plate is horrible and sexist. The 1950s-type mother is containing the daughter and telling her what to do, the father is saying to the son that someday all this will be his… Apparently they also live in the sun which is about to drop into the ocean. Does this indicate that this white family’s values are soon to be over?)
