That’s good advice to movers (and shakers?). I’d add just one thing. If you use the 5-second delay, be sure to put up some sort of main page at the old site explaining that you’ve moved, and that the reader will automatically be taken to the new site. Or you can kick your readers straight into the new site by using 0 instead of 5 in that tag; that’s what I do with the old YDD address.
