The rubbing is a greeting and marking. They have to make sure you aren’t “cheating” with other cats.

I know what you mean, Jams. Dot goes for the dark colors, and Sox for the light to be sure everyone knows I have cats.

Andante, the “D” is for “Doofus”, the first of the mackerel tabbies in the group many years ago. The markings on his face made him look like he had a huge nose and crossed eyes. There was a D2, D3, and then Mrs. D, the current tabby in the group.

Some outdoors to bask, others outdoors to get out of the sun and all the indood spots. Ted loves getting into my wardrobe to leave whit hairs on my black jumpers…

It’s fun to watch cats interacting. After a while, we come to recognize the gestures and postures. With cats that are pets, sometimes one can join in the fun… both of Stella’s cats greet me by brushing against my legs, and they seem to like it when I brush gently against them in passing, even if neither of us stops for more extended interaction. I guess I’ve become part of their pride.

Tonto owns my Mother’s hood. When she wanders over to Mother’s she will always be found on the hood.

They are social creatures and enjoy the company of the other cats in their pride. I have cats that come over and sit on my car. My cats look out the window at them. Funny.

We’ll post links to sites that have Friday (plus or minus a few days) photos of their chosen animals (photoshops at our discretion and humans only in supporting roles). Watch the Exception category for rocks, beer, coffee cups, and….? We add boarder…
