In the Iranian government the President has no real power. He runs around and shoots his mouth off, but he can’t do anything. He is a figurehead who has to talk to foreigners because the people actually in control don’t want to.

If the US were to decide to talk to Iran, we wouldn’t be talking to him, because he can’t do anything.

He has no importance, and his name on the Times short list shows that they don’t understand. Nothing he says should be given any more prominence than things O’Reilly says – neither one makes policy for their countries.

It’s just most folks think of the *better* part and expect someone GOOD, not the person who contributes to the worst of it all.
