Thanks for your kind thoughts, but we had a break in 2006, so I’m expecting 2007 to swing back to a more normal cycle for hurricanes, but nothing like 2005. We have had some cold weather which helps to cool off the Gulf and keeps down the intensity.
]]>Not that my cats aren’t insanely adorable.
I think I’m finally about to come up for air, though….the kid goes back to college soon, Christmas is over, and for the time being I’m enjoying spoiling both the kid and my grandpuppy.
And Bryan – I wish you a most successful, prosperous, happy, and hurricane-free 2007!
]]>OWL, man does not live by politics alone, and the kittie pictures are a nice break, as was your Christmas tree war. It’s nice to have a “park” to visit rather than being stuck in the “business world” all the time. You have a voice and an audience – what more does a writer need? [Okay, money would be nice, but I don’t think any of us expects to get rich from blogging.]
]]>Billmon, Susie and others who have left recently have my eternal thanks and admiration; they’ve done a lot for all of us through some very tough times. If I had accomplished that much, I might have decided to retire from blogging myself. As it is, I feel I owe a bit more. Onward through the fray, for the Constitution…
]]>It would be nice to leave a note behind for a month to explain your decision.
]]>But there is no doubt that it tis work to put up posts and take the time to follow the blog world – and much more so for those in higher echelons of blog-hits. But I’m actually glad to be a small bloggie techno-dweeb of minor account (tis the way I’d prefer to keep it. *wink*) and I can blog as I wish without much ado.
*smile*
