Totally FUBAR
Close on the heels of our valiant effort to rid the world of goat herders in Somalia we have this “victory:” U.S., Iraqi forces arrest top aide to al-Sadr.
I don’t know that I would refer to Tony Snow as a “top aide” to the Shrubbery. According to a number of journalists who work in Baghdad, Sheik Abdul-Hadi al-Darraji is the media representative for the al Sadr movement in the city. He should have been easy to find as reporters have him in their rolodex.
And people wonder why the US isn’t winning.
Oh, if you thought that it was a big deal that 400 members of the Mahdi Army were scooped up, forget it. They are people who failed to follow Moqtada al Sadr’s instructions to maintain a low profile, so he doesn’t care and is using the sweeps to get rid of people who don’t follow orders. It’s a win/win for al Sadr: he gets rid of disobedient members of the militia and has another grievance to complain about to “the people.”

Getting Osama’s travel agent didn’t seem to do us much good and we have bucket of al Qaeda number 3’s.
At least it gives us something to be proud about… and anyway, who said US isn’t winning? A traitor? USA USA USA.

Well, Tony has the important job of standing up and telling lies day after day. I am sure that Bush is grateful for that.
I think they should hire Triumph the insult dog, or a Don Rickles wannabe for the job so it would at least be entertaining. Tony has been working with “Baghdad Bob’s” material for some time.
Former press secretaries seem to get pretty good gigs after the administration departs. Snow is doing it for the book deal.

As when Dub’s stealing… our civil rights.
There’s no sheeple like Snow’s sheeple;
They kiss Dub on the toe (or maybe elsewhere),
Even with a plastic turkey in Iraq,
Or when Snow sells them another crock,
Still you’ll find them bending over Tony’s c*ck…
They’ll go on with their Snow.
