Those afternoon thunderstorms that filled the bayous have trailed off to a 20 percent POP, none of it falling here, unfortunately. It was nice while it lasted. Like all of you, I’m hoping for more.

This has been the driest spring recorded since 1930 (did someone mention dust bowl?). Possibility tomorrow and again next week.

something slightly dampish fell out of the sky did fall on us today, but in our language we have no words for this phenomenon.

Not that we’re overwhelmed, but there are thunderstorms just about every afternoon, and some of them fill the bayous pretty thoroughly. In fact, there’s one approaching right now… that’s the main reason I have everything on UPS’s.

Just please don’t consider renaming your blog anything like CatFireLake…
