but i’m pretty sure that game was rigged entirely and that any missiles that get blown up are not because of any skills on the part of the shooter. i can put the cursor anywhere on the screen, leave it in one place the whole time, and still destroy just as many missiles. also, when you put your cursor over a missile, the crosshairs turn red and the word LOCKED replaces the top number. you think that means you’re locked on target? ha! don’t bet on it.
if johng gets his way [about halfway down the comments thread over there] the “destroyed missile” falls into the barents sea. now there’s a delicious twist to the cold war: save russia by shooting down incoming missiles that will then poison all the local seafood.
]]>The thing is, if you hit the war head, what do you do about the radioactive debris?
Hipparchia, you blew yourself up – that’s is not considered a good thing in missile circles.
]]>I hit two missiles in the course of two games, allowed the city to be pretty well destroyed, got myself blown up once, and also dropped a few of my own missiles on the city. The message you get if you hit anything incoming is worth the trouble of playing, though it’s too close to true to be funny.
