They love running water more than any cats I’ve ever known. And Samantha, at least, is curious and meddlesome enough to figure out those paddles.

And yes, we keep the toilets completely closed.

I have no idea why, but at least Ringo has never mastered the faucets, something that Koshka figured out. [The handles have “paddles” that can be pushed with a paw.]

She can still hurl her hefty orb of a body onto high places.

She prefers drinking her water out of the bathroom sink, so when you hear a THUD…THUD…you know she’s made it up the toilet and then the counter top.

Between being considered a secondary food source, and the failure of the kittens to recognize the difference when Dot starts thumping her tail, it has been a bit of a trial.

She has it down to the same schedule as he wild cousins – 20 hours of rest to 4 hours of activity.
