Her coloring is beautiful.

If I tried to sleep like that, I wouldn’t be able to get up from my nap. I noticed the comment by Badtux, about cats having sweat glands in their feet. Interesting. I didn’t know that, but I did notice my cats have hot feet, sometimes.

i can’t wait to see what they look like in real life. so far i’ve only seen them by flashlight and camera flash [except for the one wanderer]. there’s at least one tailless one in this group too [dad cat = black manx].

When my kitties get hot, the bottoms of their feets get damp and they flop over and wave their feet in the air to cool off a little. One thing that helps is that our domestic house cat is virtually identical, genetically, to the North African wild cat, which is a desert cat, and thus runs at a higher temperature than most critters so doesn’t need to cool down as much. They still overheat if engaged in any kind of strenuous activity though, thus the limpness.
