My Dad had one that came from a surplus store that weighed a gazillon pounds, more or less, but but the output was 110 volts with a pure 60 cycle sine wave.

The power filtering was so unsatisfactory that whenever the refrigerator compressor switched on in the kitchen, whatever was running on the Altair ceased doing so. My friend never managed to talk his wife into allowing the fridge to be turned off…
