My cell phone [a Nokia] doesn’t pick up the change unless I turn it off and then back on as it only syncs with the network during the power on cycle and runs off its internal clock after that.

They were always slow to change it when they were Cingular, and they’re still slow to change it now that they’re AT&T. It’s nice to know some things in the world don’t change.

My stomach agrees with your feral cats, Bryan. It doesn’t care what the clock shows.

Yes, indeedy. The computer clock and the car clock still need the change. The watches in my purse, also need the change. Those will be taken care of tomorrow! I took a nice nap, tonight. When I got up, I noticed my cell phone had a text message. One of my friends had sent a text reminder of the time change, too:) How fun!

If you think kitties & technology are bad, you should experience a human toddler. On second thought, forget it. I like y’all too much.

I have to remember to feed the ferals an hour earlier by the clock, because they aren’t interested in changing anything.

Oh, Andante, if your car clock is like most of them, you can disconnect the battery at noon, they don’t usually care about AM and PM.

Just disconnect your battery and reconnect it at the new midnight… 😆

Other than the computers (to which I’ve applied the patches), the only device that used to automatically shift is the VCR/DVD player. Ever since the house antenna went awry and the management refused to fix it (“everyone has cable now”), I’ve left the time unset until/unless I need to record a broadcast. Then I set it manually. Feh.

And no; I can’t change it without paying some guy mucho $$$ to fix whatever is wrong.

On the bright side, it won’t hurt me to think I’m late. And the atomic clock doo-dad on my computer monitor will finally be correct.

I bought that particular unit because it did it automatically, and they messed the automatic setting.

I’ve just left it alone and adjusted to the difference.
