I think this new one came about when the university got a football team a few years ago.

And talk about feeling old… I was in Miami in the early ’70’s when FIU was nothing but a couple of old hangars out at Tamiami Airport in West Kendall — which then was out in the Everglades. They’ve come a long way in 30+ years and done a damn good job of it, too.
