Michael, American Samoa is in the same time zone as Shemya in the Aleutians, and, While Guam is on the other side of the Dateline, it is two zones in. French Polynesia and the Chuchi Peninsula of Russia are the first places to change the years.

Ellroon, they do the same thing in San Diego and, I seem to remember, Philadelphia, so it isn’t just the South, but people are injured by this insanity every year, and there are deaths. The morons will always be with us.

(I know, I know… wind drift, angle, trajectory… it’s not that easy.)

But anyway, Happy New Year, Bryan!

Off to buy a titanium helmet…

Merry New Year to you, too, Bryan.

Happy New Year, Bryan. Stay out of harm’s way tonight. And may 2008 be a vastly better year for all of us!
