WordPress says they can import TypePad posts and comments, so he might consider that, but I don’t want to interfere with his decision making process. This has been a bit of a shock, being attacked by “your own side” and I can relate.

If you write about politics and public people, you can certainly mention their names. If you run for office, you become a “public person” and have to prove actual malice before you can sue someone.

I must assume they have some weird rules for use, which was one of the reasons that I didn’t restart at Blogger after they nuked my old site – they changed the rules.
