The Democratic Party needs a leadership change. The current crew doesn’t know how to be the majority party, and aren’t ready to use the power they have. They have learned all the wrong lessons, which will make their hold on power short-lived.

People will vote for a real Republican rather than a fake one if those are the only choices they are given.

How exasperating. I really want to restore the word "Democrat" in my site name, because I have considerable respect for some of our local Dems and would like to show some support for them, but the Blue Dog so-called Dems... there are 47 of them, says the wiki... have really thrown a spanner in the works for moderate-to-liberal Dems. And for the record, gay-bashing and anti-Semitism have absolutely no place in the Democratic Party... or any other party, but especially not the party traditionally most concerned with human rights. As you said... it seems we are returning to the Party's bad old days.
