yep, he looooooved palmetto bugs, but the smaller ones, the real cockroaches, were always secondary prey after he finished maiming all the pametto bugs in sight.

curmudgeon cat is a bird specialist, and the feral-ish crew are fly and gnat specialists. curmudgeon cat has come to accept a lot of things about the interlopers, but apparently they are NOT allowed to even look at the birds through the windows, so they have to settle for smaller prey too.

You may be thinking of palmetto bugs, which are a whole lot bigger, and generally are treated as toys by cats.
