Why would anyone find Mahler obnoxious? Philip Glass I could understand, but Mahler?

I lived across the street from a Catholic church for a couple of decades. It was like a game, you could not leave the house on Saturday around dinner, because you would lose your spot to the 5:00 mass attendees….

Occasionally Hub would be obnoxious and blast Mahler out the windows. 😉

I’ve worked in a number of dairy barns and my paternal grandfather raised turkeys – I’m all too familiar with the odor. My concern was killing one of them. What if the cats had decided to taste a little Baptist before Waste Management made their run? Evangelical feral cats – think about it.

Oh, man! You passed up a chance for free, perfectly good fertilizer. Granted, the smell isn’t the greatest. But as an old hog farmer, I can tell you, you get use to it pretty quick.

Actually, while I was mucking about with the electrical I wandered around to see what was actually on that circuit. Although it says “irrigation pump”, it also has her washing machine, a small A/C unit, outside lights, and outside sockets on it. Going with the ground fault breaker was another way of avoiding all of the sockets that should have been changed.

The war with the Baptist Church has been going on for decades, since they ousted a pastor my Mother liked and installed one of the “new breed” evangelicals. Since the change, the congregation is all from outside the town, and the local people followed the pastor.

They are now a church, media studio, school, day care that pays no taxes to the town.

The lawn guy was having a general fit because his irrigation plan has been altered, but I knew the real deadline was Sunday morning, the only fixed time on the system.
