When I hear a politician on the phone I assume it’s a robo-call for money and hang up.

It will be the International Criminal Court or nothing when it comes to a trial for Bush. Of course, everyone he pardons is automatically in line for an ICC prosecution if someone wants to bring the case.

The last 8 years have been the equivalent of a really bad drug reaction, prescription or otherwise.

I found a nice little stocking stuffer for you:
The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder (Hardcover)

Famed Charles Manson prosecutor and three time #1 New York Times bestselling author Vincent Bugliosi has written the most powerful, explosive, and thought-provoking book of his storied career.

In The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder, Bugliosi presents a tight, meticulously researched legal case that puts George W. Bush on trial in an American courtroom for the murder of nearly 4,000 American soldiers fighting the war in Iraq. Bugliosi sets forth the legal architecture and incontrovertible evidence that President Bush took this nation to war in Iraq under false pretensesโ€”a war that has not only caused the deaths of American soldiers but also over 100,000 innocent Iraqi men, women, and children; cost the United States over one trillion dollars thus far with no end in sight; and alienated many American allies in the Western world.

As a prosecutor who is dedicated to seeking justice, Bugliosi, in his inimitable style, delivers a non-partisan argument, free from party lines and instead based upon hard facts and pure objectivity.

A searing indictment of the President and his administration, The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder also outlines a legally credible pathway to holding our highest government officials accountable for their actions, thereby creating a framework for future occupants of the oval office.

Vincent Bugliosi calls for the United States of America to return to the great nation it once was and can be again. He believes the first step to achieving this goal is to bring those responsible for the war in Iraq to justice.

It gives me the warm & fuzzies… and it’s not winter here! LOL

Of course, there’s not a snowflakes chance in hell… but hey. That’s what dreams are for, right. ๐Ÿ™‚

I also heard a great quote on Rachel Maddow’s show Interviewing a union boss (I think) discussing the Auto workers and bailouts. (Leo Gerard from memory):

When we deregulated the financial sector, that was the economic equivalent of leaving a bunch of three year olds alone in a candy store. You know they’re going to gorge themselves and when you go get them, they’re going to throw up on your shoes. I’m just tired of having my shoes thrown up on by Wall Street.

Ain’t that the truth (or at least, a close approximation)! LOL

Merry whatever. Ho, haaaa… heee, hahaaa! ahem. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Isn’t mulled wine the spirit of the season?

I have two great nephews and a new great niece to annoy with toys, so it’s not a total loss, but they are it. The rest of us have decided we already have too much stuff and don’t need any more. Lately my brothers and I have been moving money among our Amazon accounts. No one remembers who started it with the original gift, but it’s the same amount that get shifted on our birthdays so we fulfill the requirement of a gift without having to think about it beyond the date.

It’s got to be a bit different when the Christmas holidays occur during the middle of the summer. Not much point in trying to recharge the sun when you are hoping the bugger would die so things would cool off.

OH, OH, OH [it’s the hemisphere difference] ๐Ÿ˜†

“ER…HO. HO. HO.”

Christmas isn’t what it used to be for sure. Children are all grown up, family gone… The price of age. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m just waiting for the Hogfather. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Or perhaps if he decided to vacation again, his stand in. ๐Ÿ˜‰ LOL

When you rise so high, it is farther to fall and the lack of light is depressing.

i sing christmas carols, even though i am not a christian…but i love the feeling i get…the melodies are dead on….and there’s something about singing along with a few hundred other humans…

i wish the season wasn’t so short…or so commercial. i wish it was a december-january thing…the darkest months of the year. sometimes january can be a little bleak after all that tinsel.

…and a bit lonely after all those carolers…
