If you needed any more help, the medical profession supplied it with compounds featuring lead, mercury, antimony, and arsenic for centuries. The concept was apparently to kill the disease – reasoning that was right up there with fevers were caused by an excess of blood, so you bled the patient. It was all “scientific”.

Well you know… traditionalists like Big Dick Cheney would NEVER use any of that modern stuff! Lead is the traditional method of food poisoning, errr… buckshot, so it’s good enough for him (and all those that love kissing his ass). 🙂

I read a historical report on what led to the insanity of the British Royals and Aristocracy some years ago. Apparently, they took a great liking to tomatoes. They used to eat them off mostly pewter or silver plates. And the tomatoes would leech the lead out and slowly poison them. 🙂 The commoners typically only had wooden plates and bowls, so they were safe. With the Romans, it was mainly lead water courses and pipes carrying the drinking water. 🙂

Natural selection at it’s best IMHO! LOL

Steel shot is better, and it’s a lot easier to clean the shot out of a bird with a magnet, than just looking. [The magnet doesn’t pull out all of the shot, but it makes it obvious where it is.]

I haven’t hunted in a very long time, so you are looking as decades since I last used it.

There was a local man who used to make some of the best casting nets there were. He had a bad habit of clenching the lead sinkers on with his teeth instead of pliers. His last years were not pleasant.

All of the heavy metals are trouble, and people who refuse to understand that are “mad as a hatter”. [They used mercury compounds in the making of hats.]

Apparently, all the lead shot many of them still love to use has been slowly poisoning the wetlands and even contaminating water tables (well, lead… Duh! There’s a no-brainer for ya!) Of course, the neo-fascist members of the NRA won’t have any of that pinko commie anti-American crap!! No siree bob!!

I wonder if I should mention that lead was one of the primary reasons the Roman leaders and British Empire aristocrats and royalty all ended up insane and destroyed their Empires? Hmmm… Nahhh! Bye Bye American Empire! LOL

Keep spending until you have created a solution, or the imminent bankruptcy of the US requires you to find a new client.

We could try not siting airports near wetlands, but that’s the only way they can be filled and made useful with all of the regulations.

We would scan for the suckers in the Spring and Fall flying out of Offutt on the Missouri River, but we still hit them. You line up with the runway to land and take-off, it’s not like you can change course. It’s the pits on take-off, because after you are committed all you can do is hope for a miss if they decide to rise at the wrong time.

This should be a typical no-bid contract, and I will get it! I have the design of the BFG9000 (and you can’t prove I stole the idea from DOOM) :b

Actually, I have two designs. If I was contracting to Russia, I’d propose the FBS1000. Esentially, a huge slingshot with a munition made of 10,000 shot pellets packed into a ball that looses cohesion and spreads once fired at high-velocity from the slingshot. 🙂 Russia loves cheap and simple technology, that works. 🙂

For the USA, I propose the BFG9000. A Nuclear fission powered supercooled magnetic rail gun that fires DU munitions at an insane rate and hypersonic velocity. Of course, it will require hundreds of billions and many years to create a prototype. It may or may not explode when operated, and if the target is missed, the Earth will meet up with all those DU rounds as it completes it’s orbit. Therefore, it should only be fired when we are sure the USA will be on the opposite side when it rains DU micro-meteorites. Then it’s someone else’s problem. 🙂

LOL

There have been sightings all along the NAFTA highway corridor, as well as reports of incidents involving the bomber, tanker, and reconnaissance fleets. $100 billion may not be enough.

I would propose that we declare war upon Canada, but the CU-163, Goose, appears despite its flaws to be capable of neutralizing U.S. air superiority so we must first develop countermeasures suited for neutralizing the CU-163, Goose. As CEO of Allied Defense, I propose that President Obama immediately request an emergency allocation of $100 billion dollars for our Goose Defensive Shield project, which is clearly necessary in order to defend America.

Sincerely,
I.M.G. Reedy
CEO, Allied Defense.
