Sarah Palin has never stopped running, and Jindal has been “testing” since last November. They don’t ever stop campaigning under the stupid system that American politics has devolved into. The parliamentary system has a major advantage over ours when it comes to elections.

Frankly, he is the best the Republicans have to offer, as far as a national election goes. I don’t disagree that there possible reasons in Mississippi, but he has been to Iowa and Florida also.

If he goes to New Hampshire, then we can really be sure “he’s not running for President”. 😉

One of the enduring sayings of Louisianians for many years, when Louisiana was 49th in everything — average family income, educational system, prenatal deaths, etc. — was “there’s always Mississippi!”

Now that Louisiana is below Mississippi in almost everything, it’s Mississippians turn to say, “there’s always Louisiana!” — and make sure a governor gets elected to make sure it stays that way. Besides, they want an anti-gambling governor, because lord forbid if Louisiana elects a governor who supports wide-open casino gambling, that might disrupt the operations of the Mississippi Gulf Coast casino resorts. Can’t have that, hmm? Since Jindal hates gambling, why *not* push money into his pockets to make sure that Louisiana gaming interests don’t get to open their own gambling palaces?!
