As you probably know, Jack, that is a sore point around here and with Fallenmonk because we were part of the overall system that included the USS Liberty.

Moving forward, I just don’t think we can afford to continue to make them our number one recipient of foreign aid and receive nothing in return.

…heck, I guess I may be reaching back too far, but I would still like unilateral “my little buddy, right or wrong” supporters of Israel explain the attack on the USS Liberty in the context of “why should we support Israel”, but I’m confident in a sad resigned way that this won’t ever happen (seeing as how it hasn’t over the last 40 years)…

Oh, I think he tell the real reason, he was happy in retirement and the government job was going to be a hemorrhoid. LIEberman and Shumer wear AIPAC collars and won’t do anything not approved by the Likud Party leaders. They’ll cross the Democratic Party in a picosecond, but never Likud.

I heard some talk on Air America and it seems that Lieberman and Shumer tossed this guy under the bus....he also apparently was taken out of context on some things that he said about China and Tiennemen Square.
