Our Congresscritter is from Chumuckla, but he belongs in Chattahoochee, at least for observation.

Between the two, there are a few “oddities” of names to pronounce…and…gulp…spell.

Lake Winnipesaukee…that was a killer to learn as a tyke.

Ha, child’s play, Steve. There’s a suburban town in Monroe County, New York, near Rochester, named Chili. No one outside the county would ever pronounce it the way they do. No one would even break it into two syllables the way they do. It shares no vowel sounds with the food.

Be advised that “fog, log, dog, and bog” don’t rhyme in Monroe County.

What I really want to know is whether a baby temblor has two parents. <grin_duck_run />

The swarm has been down in the Salton Sea area…I have bets on the Hayward Fault (up north) to pop big sometime instead of the famous San Andreas. (I heard a blowheard bimbo on the news mispronounce the the San Andreas Fault name….I thought everyone knew…)

Nothing of note here in SB, however…..yet.

Aside: the towers are designed to flex so they don’t break and collapse, but it doesn’t help, even when you know that, because they do sway for even minor events.
