the bayous here are full, much higher than normal. they’re always polluted, so it’s hard to tell what’s washing down into them from the rivers.

]]>the dog and i went out to the dog park this evening, after things had calmed down. the park is on a slope, and so much sand had been washed downhill that the fence at the lowest end is now 6″ shorter than it was.

]]>Queensland and New South Wales certainly don’t need or want any rain at the moment. They seem to be in the same shape as South Dakota and Manitoba, but with warmer temperatures.
]]>We have a thunderstorm here right now. I’m enjoying it actually, it’s been a while! The rain is very welcome. Though, the dog isn’t at all impressed! She’s been trying to burrow under the bed (Jack Russel’s love to burrow, they hunt wabbits!) 😉
