The GOP is melting before our eyes, and you have to wonder what will take their place this time, because they have a long history of doing this, although this iteration has lasted much longer than the earlier versions.

Texas is a unique situation because they were a separate country before voluntarily joining the Union. Hawaii is also unique. It would take a lot of effort to reason the rights of those two states and secession.

The biggest problem these people have is that they have banished all of their reasonable, and reasoned leaders. they have no one left to speak for them who isn’t an obvious whacko.

I’ve been reading all this at C&L with extreme amusement! LOL Some of my faves include:

Gov. Perry Talks Secession for Texas at Tea Party: “Texas Can Leave Union If It Wants To”

ohhhh… would that that were true! LOL

Leser on the Tea Parties: ‘These tax day tea parties are a sham and a fraud’

That was fun! Varney’s head exploded! LOL

This is my #1 fave (not stictly about FOX’s Tea Party fraud, but related:
Moonie Times editor: Obama ‘threw Christianity under the bus’

The comments are a howl! Especially when pointed out that many of the *Founding Fathers* were Free Masons etc.

“In God we trust is even on our money” – well yes, it has been our official motto, after the passage of an Act of Congress in 1956.

You have to love religeous fanatics ramming their beliefs through law and then using those laws to justify more theocracy.

Ben Franklin was an Atheist – “I have found Christian dogma unintelligible. Early in life, I absenteed myself from Christian assemblies.” and “Lighthouses are more helpful then churches.”

Thomas Jefferson (at best a deist)”Christianity is the most perverted system that ever shone on man.”

Susan B Anthony (okay not a father): “I was born a heretic. I always distrust people who know so much about what God wants them to do to their fellows.”

James Madison “In no instance have . . . the churches been guardians of the liberties of the people.”
“Religious bondage shackles and debilitates the mind and unfits it for every noble enterprise.”

Abe Lincoln – “The Bible is not my book nor Christianity my profession. I could never give assent to the long, complicated statements of Christian dogma.”

Thomas Paine “All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian or Turkish, appear to me no other than human inventions, set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit. ”

George Washington refused to take communion…

So who constitutes a founding father and how were their Christian?

John Adams “The divinity of Jesus is made a convenient cover for absurdity.”

Ahhh yes! Never let a fact destroy a good fantasy! 😀

Did you hear that Spain is going ahead with the Indictment of the *Bush Six*. The wingnuts are going ape. LOL

And in the latest insanity, Rash Limberger (and even though I know he is a total lunatic, I find this difficult to comprehend) is *DEFENDING* the Somali Pirates because… They are just teenagers and it’s Obama’s fault they are pirates! LMAO

Limbaugh defends the teenage pirates of Somalia while a US Cargo ship evaded another pirate attack

Where are all the straight jackets when you need them? ‘Political Correctness’ and all the other *social equality* stuff will be the end of the USA IMHO. 😉

The US news truly is infotainment and is really a laugh a minute! 😀 😉

[I bet this get’s stuck in moderation]

Yep, a good, fresh, crisp cuke right from the garden with a minimum of seasoning is great, but then I put some time in Britain, Andante.

So, John, they are having a tea party in a corporate board room and it’s a “grass roots movement”? It must be very well maintained grass.

Badtux, I was told by an Indian tea rep, that the black tea that Lipton’s puts in their bags is literally what you find on the floors of sorting sheds for tea shipped to the UK. I use loose tea, so I don’t know what happens with tea bags. I have been offered cups but went with the bad coffee, because it didn’t smell like the tea I know. We have enough Brits and Asians in the area that you can get good tea, as long as you don’t need it in a bag.

As for tea parties, here is a YouTube video of a tea party in a tea room

One of the lobbying firms that most certainly isn’t behind this totally spontaneous grassroots movement volunteered their board room as a dumping site.

Not worth bothering without the right refreshments.
