If you are going to be “appalled” by the words of one, you should be appalled by them all. I don’t pick and choose among the haters of this world, I don’t like or support any of them, and don’t appreciated the fact that some of them, like the Castro brothers, get to hang onto power because the US bad-mouths them.

I’m sick of Americans who don’t know that Central and South Americans really dislike the government of the US, and have for a very long time. I really dislike the fact that Americans don’t understand why we’re hated around the world, because they don’t know what our government has been up to.

This isn’t something from a text book, one of my great grandfathers was in the Philippines occupation, and my paternal grandfather was part of the Cuban occupation. This is family history, not just US history. This crap happened and people don’t forget it.

They miss the YEEHAW age of ‘diplomacy’.

I guess because it worked so well – in their own minds?

They can’t differentiate between garnering respect and engendering fear in a dangerous world.

And that makes it more dangerous.
