They are failures and want to boost themselves by lowering everything else, and the leaders play on them to steal what money they have.

Funny, they give more rights to fetuses than they do to their very own flesh and blood, who regularly die from being beat to death, denied medical attention because “it’s against our religion”, etc.

And of course women are the same thing, as far as the misogynist leaders of the right wing are concerned… property. How *dare* property do something without permission of their owner! The tighty righties are still pining over the loss of their slaves in 1865, methinks… it fits their mentality so well, owning slaves…

This has nothing to do with religion. It required a recent change to Catholic practice for children who died before baptism to be buried in church grave yards. In many areas they were buried in the gardens of convents by sympathetic nuns.

If you look at history, children were considered nothing more than property through the 19th century, and the Bible prescribes a fine for causing a miscarriage, so there is no basis for this in standard Christian theology, it was created out of whole cloth to justify enslaving women.

I don’t remember seeing any protesters around clinics that perform vasectomies, so it is clearly another attack on women by terrorists, and the fact that Burt was a member of the KKK is not a coincidence, it is part of the same package.

That Newt Gingrich and Randall Terry have converted to Catholicism shows where the movement is going.

Clinics like that provide services to women, especially indigent women, far beyond abortion. Many women receive their only gynecological care… some receive their only medical care, period… because of Planned Parenthood. Many women bear healthy babies thanks to Planned Parenthood who otherwise would have had problem pregnancies or, in many cases, miscarriages. Clinics like this are a joy to people who love women and love children; they save far more babies than they ever abort.

And IMHO that’s why the anti-choice terrorists hate them: because the terrorists have nothing but contempt for women, and resent the very notion that a woman may have independent control of her body. Watch those people attacking (there’s no other word for it) women entering a clinic, and you will immediately understand that complete control of another person is their game and terror is their means. These people are nuts, and it doesn’t surprise me one bit that they resort to murder. They have an agenda and a doctrine as surely as does Osama bin Laden, and a willingness to enforce that agenda and doctrine on the rest of us. And regrettably, like the more familiar terrorists, they are willing to die in order to kill for their cause. This is the first such murder in many years and I’d like to think it will be the last ever… but I do not believe that, because terrorist fanatics do not have the usual disincentives for murder.

(I may adapt this comment as the morning post on the Y**.)

The state put Paul Hill down like the rabid dog he was with a lethal injection, but we are still feeding and housing Michael Griffin. They are the kind of people who belong in Gitmo, or St Helena.

The only way to deal with these cowards is to kill them. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it until I’m 6ft under. I’ve seen far too many humans like these. The only way to stop them is kill them. They serve no useful purpose in any civilized society, except as an example to others. In the times of the barbarians, they would either be the tribal leaders or dead.
