Sun, 08 Nov 2009 04:31:23 +0000http://whynow.dumka.us/?p=12053#comment-49687We got smacked by Kate in 1985 even later, but the Gulf has cooled off from a string of cold fronts and they are predicting a trough building across the northern Gulf that will take it east, if it doesn’t just absorb it.
All of the tracking is weird, but if it comes, it won’t be much more than tropical storm strength. This is why El Niño is our friend.
The spread seems to be New Orleans to Panama City, with my little town the current target.
