Well, I haven’t seen a rodent in forever, so they are still working at their primary job, replacing the snakes, but the doves are really annoying at 5AM.
]]>yep. cats, feral or not, know when they’ve got a good deal and they’re quite happy to let someone else do all the work.

The turkey episode is on Hulu, btw.

Occasionally you will see the remains of one, but every afternoon there are a dozen or so doves perching on the side of the big feeding dishes and having an all they can eat buffet, while cats are lazing around. It’s really not something you would want to see. Does damage to the killer image of feral cats everywhere.
]]>Happy T-day, Steve. I wasn’t going to leave a happy comment on a post about Newt.
Think of it this way, Аня, a turkey died, and that’s all that really matters. I always feed the cats turkey stuff on this day in hopes they will some day raid a turkey farm. 😉
]]>We had turkey today: one of those “parts is parts” frozen turkey things with it’s own gravy in it’s own aluminum foil roasting pan. Instant stuffing, too. The cats licked the plates. I think someone watched the football game.
Talk about your bare-bones holiday. 😀

]]>There was a time when at 6AM I was saying “You are listening in to WRCU, the sound of the Chenago Valley at 640 kilohertz on your AM dial… and now the morning new…” which was read from the canary yellow paper roll off the AP feed with minor edits, then it was time to hit go on turntable 1 which had the Zombies “She’s not there”, followed by a short intro into the Rock Your Morning show, followed by what ever looked interesting from the pile of new 45s, an ad for the Bluebird Cafe, and then, maybe, shift to the carefully arranged and timed records put in the booth by the program manager. Ah, the good old days…
